Arcata House Partnership
Offers a variety of different outreach programs, such as a local food pantry, shelters, rapid rehousing and permanent housing options, adult and family shelters, and more.
Some of the programs that Arcata House Partnership currently offers include:

- Wednesday, free mobile medical clinic at the Annex – 501 Ninth St., Arcata
- Weekday sack lunches

Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation

Dial-A-Ride
Origin-to-destination shared-ride transportation for individuals who are unable to use public transportation, either all of the time or some of the time, because of a disabling condition.
Eureka Rescue Mission
Offers both a men’s shelter and a women/children’s shelter. The shelter is open 7 days a week and provides meals, as well as showers and clothing exchanges. For more information, visit their website or give them a call at (707) 443-5016.
Family Law Self-Help Center
The Court’s self-help centers provide assistance in the areas of both family law and non-family (civil) law. The self-help center staff can provide you with information on your legal rights and obligations; they cannot provide you with legal advice.
Food for People
Food for People is designated as the Food Bank for Humboldt County and coordinates the distribution of food countywide through a variety of hunger relief programs. Food for People can be contacted at 707-445-3166.
Humboldt AA
Though they aren’t holding meetings in person currently, due to COVID19 – they are offering other ways to stay connected. Meetings are offered virtually online at several different times during the day. Humboldt Domestic Violence Services
24-hr Support Line, counseling (peer, individual, group), a business office with community outreach programs, emergency shelter for survivors and their children, emergency food and/or clothing for survivors and their children, community resources, and referrals, support groups, children’s services, restraining order assistance, court accompaniment, alcohol, and other drugs support (referrals/sobriety plans), cultural humility. In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS)
In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) is a program directed by the California Department of Social Services that provides aid to blind, aged, and disabled individuals who are unable to remain safely in their own home without the aid of a care provider. Services provided by IHSS are based on need and can include: domestic services such as cleaning, meal preparation, and running errands; personal care services such as grooming, bathing, and bowel and bladder care; transportation to medical services; and protective supervision.

Northcoast Children’s Services
Head Start and Early Head Start provide reliable assistance in securing resources for families in areas such as food security, safe and adequate housing, family counseling, and the many other challenges that parents face in creating a healthy and nurturing environment for their children. North Coast Rape Crisis

Paso a Paso
The bilingual staff provides childbirth education, breastfeeding support, parenting classes, home visits, resource referrals, and support groups to communities served by St. Joseph and Redwood Memorial Hospitals. All of Paso a Paso’s services are free. You can reach Paso a Paso at (707) 441-4477.
Queer Humboldt
An organization dedicated to providing resources for the queer community. We provide this website for the community to list local events, resources, groups, links, visitor information, news, and pictures that will benefit the queer community. They have both local resources and national resources.
Redwood Coast Regional Center (RCRC)
Offers services and supports for children and adults with developmental disabilities who live in Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, and Mendocino Counties. You can reach RCRC at (707) 445-0893.
Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
Provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
